Birdhouse – Spalted Maple (BH44)

I made this birdhouse from two pieces of spalted maple. The ornament is hollow and has a small bird on the birdhouse perch. The ornament is approximately 3″ long and 1 5/8″ in diameter. You will notice a void a the bottom of the ornament. With spalted maple, you never know what you will find inside the wood. This void gives this ornament a unique character that my other birdhouses do not have.
