Red Cedar & Maple – Big Block 41 (BA30)

This ornament is made using 4 blocks of red cedar and 4 blocks of maple glued together with thick maple veneer and thick homemade cedar veneer sandwiched between the blocks. When you turn this layering of wood on the lathe into a sphere, it creates a neat pattern on the top and bottom of the ornament. The ornament is roughly 3” in diameter and is hollow.
